I was inspired by a photograph taken in Rochester, NY of a sunflower patch. I love the bright rich colors I used in this drawing. Sure to put a smile on the face of the receiver. The phrase on the front “bloom where you’re joyful” means to me, be yourself, and do what you love. When you’re able to be your whole self you will be most joyful!
I just wanted to do create something pretty and feminine. This card has 2 butterflies flitting about a field of flowers. The soft watercolors and the inky tones in the butterflies really create a nice balance. This card is perfect for Mothers Day, someone you love, a thank you card, or just because.
I wanted to keep this drawing simple and only use black ink. It lead to a really striking visual and gave strength to the tree while still having a light feeling with the vine heart. This is a perfect card for a family member, loved one, or someone you love. “ Every branch tells a story. Every story begins with love.”
Named after one of my favorite Bonnie Raitt songs, this drawing is really trying to capture the end of a spring day. We are freezing here in mid January in upstate NY, and I felt compelled to draw what I’m longing for. Those pink spring skies, the sun starting to go down, the flowers blowing in the breeze. I can feel it just looking at this card.
I took one of my favorite drawings and jazzed it up a bit. This card can be used for many different occasions as this symbol is found in many religions and art.
